Access and Refund Terms

Paid access has not opened yet. Until it does, access to the reader is by invitation, no plans or prices are offered for sale, and no charges are made. The sections below govern paid access once it opens.

These Access Terms are current and in effect. They are under continuing review with counsel and may be updated; the version posted here is always the operative one.

These Access and Refund Terms (these "Access Terms") describe the plans, payment, access period, renewal, and refund practices for The Consigliere, a paid content product published by The Consigliere LLC ("we", "us", or "our"), a Fellowship Intelligence offering, available at theaiconsigliere.com. Access is sold as a single payment for twelve months of access (longer for a founding purchase, as described in Section 2); it is not a recurring subscription. These Access Terms are part of, and are incorporated by reference into, our Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms of Service. If there is any conflict between the Terms of Service and these Access Terms on payment matters, these Access Terms control.

1. Plans and Pricing

The Consigliere is a reader for a library of written guidance on deciding well with AI, a decision-support product. You buy a plan on theaiconsigliere.com and sign in to read the library your plan includes through the website and the companion reader app. We offer Individual, Team, and Enterprise plans. A Team plan covers from 1 to 25 named people in one organization, and each organization may hold one Team plan. An Enterprise plan covers everyone in the organization and is priced by the organization's size. Current plans and prices are shown on our pricing page and at checkout. Prices are stated in US Dollars and may exclude taxes, which will be added where applicable. We may offer different plans or promotional pricing from time to time, and specific plan features may vary.

2. Payment, Access Period, and No Automatic Renewal

Each plan is bought with a single payment, taken in full at checkout, that covers twelve months of access from the date of purchase (the "Access Period"), except as described under Founding year below. Payment will be handled by our third-party payment processor, Stripe. Enterprise plans may instead be invoiced, on the terms stated in the invoice or order form. There is no monthly plan and no free trial of a paid plan.

Your plan does not renew automatically. We will not charge your payment method again unless you choose to renew. We will email you a reminder about 30 days and again about 7 days before your Access Period ends, at the address associated with your account. We do not store full payment card numbers; your payment details will be handled by Stripe.

Early renewal price. If you renew the same plan on or before the last day of the ninth month of your first Access Period, your second Access Period is charged at the price you paid for your first. This applies once, to your second year only. Every other renewal, including a renewal of your first Access Period made after its ninth month and every later renewal, is charged at the then-current price.

Founding year. If you first buy a plan on or before December 31, 2026 (Pacific time), your first Access Period runs from the date of purchase through December 31, 2027, instead of twelve months. This applies to Individual, Team, and Enterprise plans. For these plans, the early renewal price applies to a renewal made on or before September 30, 2027, in place of the ninth-month date above, and the renewal reminders are sent before December 31, 2027.

3. Price Changes

We may change prices or plan features from time to time. A price change never affects an Access Period you have already paid for, and it does not apply to an early renewal that qualifies for the first-year price under Section 2. New prices apply to new purchases and to all other renewals.

4. When Access Ends

Because nothing renews automatically, there is nothing to cancel to prevent a future charge. When your Access Period ends without renewal, your access to the library through the Website and the reader app ends, and updates and new documents are no longer provided to you. Copies of documents you downloaded while your access was active may continue to be kept and used for your own personal and internal professional reference under the license in the Terms of Service; they may not be redistributed, resold, or published.

You may close your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting us at [email protected]. Closing your account before your Access Period ends ends your access at that point and does not, by itself, entitle you to a refund, except as described in the refund policy below or as required by applicable law.

5. Refund Policy

Except as required by applicable law or as expressly stated here, payments are non-refundable, and we do not provide refunds or credits for unused portions of an Access Period or for documents already delivered.

If you are buying a plan for the first time, you may request a refund of that payment within 14 days of the charge by contacting us at [email protected]. Refunds, where granted, are issued to the original payment method through our payment processor and may take 5 to 10 business days to appear, depending on your provider. Renewal payments are not eligible for this refund window.

We may decline refund requests that we reasonably believe are abusive or that fall outside this policy. Where applicable law grants you a statutory right to cancel or to a refund (for example, a consumer cooling-off right), that right applies regardless of this policy.

6. Free Tier

We offer a free tier. The free tier provides access to The Consigliere (Core), the document that is the foundation the rest of the library is built on, together with The Consigliere’s Code and the four frameworks, three of which are fillable and one of which is a reference card, at no charge and with no card required. The Code and the frameworks are on this website today; Core is read in the reader, and becomes available with the free tier when accounts open. Use of the free tier is subject to the Terms of Service, including the acceptable use and distribution restrictions. No charges apply unless you choose to buy a paid plan. We may modify, limit, or discontinue the free tier at any time.

7. Chargebacks

If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first at [email protected] so we can review and resolve it promptly. Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card issuer without first contacting us may result in suspension or termination of your account and access to the Service. We reserve the right to dispute chargebacks that we reasonably believe are unwarranted and to recover amounts owed, including any related fees, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

8. Taxes

You are responsible for any applicable sales, use, value-added, or similar taxes associated with your plan, except for taxes based on our net income. Where we are required to collect such taxes, they will be shown at checkout and added to your charges, where applicable.
